Form pages displaying strange strings such as:
“;s:6:”m
or stray quotation marks are likely caused by corrupted Formidable Custom HTML templates.
Issue found in:
Formidable → Forms → [affected form] → Settings → Customize HTML
Corruption appeared as:
- leading quotation mark before opening div:
“<div id=”frm_field_[id]_container” - trailing serialised fragment after closing div: </div>”;s:6:”m
Fix:
Remove the stray leading quotation mark and trailing serialised fragment so the template starts directly with:
and ends cleanly with:
Likely cause:
These forms have been copied/reused repeatedly over many years and across multiple sites, which may have caused corruption in serialised Formidable form data.
Recommendation:
Consider rebuilding the oldest heavily reused forms from scratch to avoid future corruption issues.
